\n\u00a0Syllable is the breaking down of words into smaller units. A syllable must have a vowel sound in it e.g I \/ai\/, are \/a:\/<\/p>\n

\u00a0TYPES OF SYLLABLES

    Monosyllable words: –<\/strong> These are words of one syllable e.g. I, are, we, my, pet etc.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Bi-syllabic words:<\/strong> – These are words of two syllables e.g. about, again, desist, expand, observe etc.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Tri-syllabic words: –<\/strong> These are words of three syllables e.g. library, infection, agreement etc.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Words of four syllables: –<\/strong> These are words that are made up of four syllables e.g. Education, Practically, Explanation\n<\/div>\n
