Measures of central tendency include arithmetic mean, median and mode.<strong> MEAN<\/strong>: This is the average of variables obtained in a study. It is the most common kind of average. For group data the formula for calculating the mean is \u2211fx.<br \/>\n                                        \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0                 \u2211f<br \/>\nWhere, \u01a9 =Summation<br \/>\n              F=frequency<br \/>\n              X=observation<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>MEDIAN:<\/strong> It is the middle number in any given distribution. The formula is<br \/>\nMedian = L + (N\\2-Fb)c<br \/>\n                               f\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br \/>\nWhere; L = Lower class limit.<br \/>\n            N = Summation 0f the frequency.<br \/>\n           Fb = Cumulative frequency before the median class.<br \/>\n             f = frequency of the median class.<br \/>\n             c= Class size.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>MODE<\/strong>: It is the number that appears most in any given distribution, i.e the number with the greatest frequency.
