The science and the study of disease is called PATHOLOGY<br \/>\nDiseases causative agents are the following;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div>Viruses\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Bacteria\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Worms\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Protozoa\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Fungi\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Spirochetes\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Rickettsia\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>                                      What are vectors?<br \/>\n   Vectors are animals which transmit disease causing organisms (pathogens) from an infected person to an uninfected person without being infected. Examples are: mosquito, rat, house fly etc.<br \/>\nType of vectors<br \/>\nThere are two type of vector s these are :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div>Biological vector\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Mechanical vector\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Diseases can be grouped into two:-<br \/>\n(A)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 COMMUNICABLE DISEASES;- are the diseases that can be transmitted from one person to another. Mode of transmission can be through direct contact, infected air or vectors.
