In language, punctuations such as commas and full stop are used to make phrases and sentences meaningful as we read a passage.<br \/>\n            In similar way, <strong>cadences <\/strong>are used at the end of musical phrases and sentences.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>                                                             Types of Cadence<br \/>\n<\/strong>There are four types of Cadence namely;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Perfect Cadence\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Imperfect Cadence\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Plagal  Cadence\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Interrupted Cadence\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A <strong>Perfect Cadence <\/strong>progression from dominant which is (5<sup>th<\/sup>) to tonic (1<sup>st<\/sup>) this progression is also called the full close because it has a feeling of finality or conclusion. i.e soh, doh<br \/>\n<strong>Imperfect Cadence<\/strong> is a progression of any chord to <strong>dominant<\/strong> (5<sup>th<\/sup>) and this progression is also called half close e.g (a) doh &#8211; soh. (b) reh \u2013 soh.<br \/>\n<strong> Plagal cadence <\/strong>is<strong><br \/>\n\t\t\t<\/strong>the progression from sub-dominant which is (4<sup>th<\/sup>) to Tonic. This progression also serve as another kind full stop known as &#8220;Amen chord&#8221; because of it frequent used.<br \/>\ne.g fah- me.<br \/>\n<strong>Interrupted cadence <\/strong>it is the only cadence that require secondary triad or secondary chord, its progression is from dominant (5<sup>th<\/sup>) chord to (6<sup>th<\/sup>). It is also known as surprise cadence because it creates an element of surprise. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<strong>                                                     WEEK EIGHT<br \/>\n<\/strong>                                               INVERSION OF TRIADS<br \/>\n           When any other note of a chord its root placed in the bass (or lowest) part, that chord or triad is said to be &#8220;inverted&#8221;.<br \/>\n        It will be obvious that number of inversions any chord may have will be always one less than the number of notes in the chord.<br \/>\n        A triad having three notes will therefore have two inversions, called respectively its <strong>first<\/strong> and <strong>second<\/strong> inversions. <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<strong>Examples<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>First inversion of triads<br \/>\n<\/strong>When the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> of a chord or triad is in the bass, that triad is in its inversion<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\"
