Dirt can damage fabrics\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>To kill any disease-carrying germs and pests in the fabrics\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>To keep the clothes looking clean or better, dirty clothes are unpleasant to look at\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>To save money since clean clothes last longer\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>To ensure that whatever clothes you have will be available for wearing anytime.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>LAUNDRY AGENTS AND EQUIPMENT <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div><em>Water;<\/em> used for soaking, washing and rinsing clothes.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><em>Soaps and detergents<\/em>; to lower the surface tension of water, remove certain stains, kill carrying germs in fabrics.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><em>Bleaches;<\/em> make white cotton and linen fabrics whiter, remove certain stains, kill disease carrying germs in fabric.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><em>Stiffening agents;<\/em> to stiffen cotton and linen fabrics, to give the fabrics a smooth surface and fresh look\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><em>Stain removers;<\/em> to remove stains from fabrics.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>LAUNDRY EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div><strong><em>Equipment and tools for collecting dirty clothes<\/em><\/strong>; these include linen baskets or bins, laundry bags\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong><em>Equipment and tools for washing;<\/em><\/strong> these include basins, buckets and laundry tubs or trays, they can be        made of plastics, stainless steel or porcelain. The outline of a garment is its shape.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>SPACE:<\/strong> This refers to the three dimensional area that is to be designed. It is the entire area within a garment.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>TEXTURE<\/strong>: This is the way the surface of a fabric looks and feels.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>COLOUR:<\/strong> This is one of the most important elements. It has many visual effects and its own language.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>COLOUR WHEEL<\/strong><br \/>\n\t\tThis is an arrangement of colours in a circle to show how they are related.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n<div><strong>The primary colours:<\/strong> They are red, yellow and blue.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>The secondary colours:<\/strong> They are orange, green and purple\/ violet.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div><strong>Tertiary colours:<\/strong> These are six, and each is a blend of primary and secondary colours.
