\nElectoral Malpractices in Nigeria<\/strong>
\n\t\t\tElectoral malpractices is the failing of all electoral institutions or bodies to carry out election in the proper or professional way it is supposed to be done.
\nIt is any act that hinders free and fair election. i.e. it is any act of lawlessness that could stop or discourage people to cast their vote freely and sincerely.
\nElectoral malpractices can come in various forms which are:<\/p>\n

    Intimidation of voters\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
    Partisanship by Electoral officers\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
    Impersonation\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
    Diversion of Electoral materials\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
    Stealing of electoral materials like ballot boxes, ballot papers, voters register etc.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \n
    Under- age voting i.e. allowing those who are not adult to vote, those who are below the age of 18.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  7. \n
    Multiple registrations of voters by a single individual.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  8. \n
    Falsification or outright inflation of election results\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  9. \n
    Bribery and corruption in the form of giving money to electoral officers with the intention to make them change election results.\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Keeping of electoral materials into personal custody and not with INEC or SIEC\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
