 TOPIC: WORDS ASSOCIATED WITH AIR TRANSPORT AND AIR TRAVEL

 

  1. Air transport – Transportation by air
  2. Pilot – Someone who is licensed to operate an aircraft in flight
  3. Copilot – A relief pilot on an airplane
  4. Crew – The men and women who man a vehicle (ship, aircraft etc)
  5. Tarmac – Surface an area with tarmac
  6. Runway – A strip of level paved surface where planes can take off and land
  7. Jet plane – An airplane powered by one or more jet engines
  8. Aero plane – An aircraft that has a fixed wing and is powered by propellers or jets
  9. Bomber – (military) a military aircraft that drops bombs during flight
  10. Monoplane – An airplane with a single wing

  1. Fishing – The occupation of catching fish for a living
  2. Shark – Any of numerous elongate mostly marine carnivorous fishes with heterrocrecal candal flings and tough skin covered with small tooth like scales
  3. Bait – Anything that serves as an enticement
  4. Hook – Anything that serves as an enticement
  5. Fin – Organ of locomotion and balance in fishes and some other aquatic criminals
  6. Net – A trap made of netting to catch fish, birds or insects
  7. Trap – A device in which something (usually an animal) can be caught and penned
  8. Sea – A division of an ocean or a large body of salt water particularly enclosed by land e.g. East Clime Sea, Cream Land Sea

  6. Restaurant – A building where people go to eat
  7. Canteen – Restaurant for people at an institution (Factory, School, Business etc.)
  8. Cafeteria – A restaurant where you serve yourself and pay a cashier
  9. Automat – A vending machine from which you can get good or A cafeteria where food is served from machines
  10. Utensil – An implement for practical use (especially in a household)
